Steve Cohlmia
Steve is a lifelong Wichitan. A 1970 graduate of Bishop Carroll High School and a 1974 graduate of Wichita State University with a B.A. in Business Administration.
Steve has been in the securities industry since 1988. He joined Carey, Thomas and Assoc. in September of 1990 and in 2002 Steve and Tom Hoover joined forces to form the Cohlmia Hoover Group, specializing in retirement planning and financial planning for businesses and individuals. He is Series 7 (General Securities Representative), Series 63 (Uniform Securities Agent State Law Examination), Series 65 (Uniform Investment Adviser Law Examination) and life insurance licensed.
A believer in "giving back" and being involved, Steve is a member of St. George Cathedral where he is active in the choir, a past member and chairman of both the parish council and endowment. He is also a past board member and president of the Treehouse and a past board member and president of Wichita Children's Theatre and Dance Center. Currently Steve is a member of The Wichita State University Alumni Association, a member of the Executive Committee and the current president of the Association for 2010-2011.
Steve is married to Missy and they have 2 grown children, Pete and Leigh. Pete has joined CTHB and he and Tiffany have 2 children, Jack and Bridget. Steve’s hobbies include golf, cooking, a love of wine and grandkids.
